Pentru imprimare folosim pulbere de poliamidă PA 12, fabricata de Hewlett Packard. Poliamida este mai rezistenta decat ABS si fotopolimerii. In timp ce plasticul ABS se topeste la 105 °C, PA 12 se topeste la 150 °C. Materialul este rezistent la UV, uleiuri, benzina si medii alcaline.
